Tucker is FINALLY here!!!

Tucker Clay Holling

Daddy Lovin'

First Family Photo

Tucker finally arrived on Saturday, November 28th, 2009 @ 12:48 p.m. On Friday we spent the day at my moms for the Daino Thanksgiving. While eating dinner I ate some cranberry sauce and it did not settle well in my stomach, but didn't think much of it. I went and laid down for a bit and started to feel better. So I went back to the kitchen and started helping mom and Rachel clean up. (Rachel thought it was weird that I was wanting to clean so much, so I think she had an idea that the baby was coming soon). We finished up the evening with some family photos and then I started feeling really tired and asked Matthew if we could head on home. We went home and we were both wore out so we headed to bed to watch TV and relax. I, of course, was checking my facebook and such and then got up and headed to bathroom, and all of the sudden my water broke. Matthew's face was priceless, when I told him what was going on. Boy he went into serious mode! We finally made it to the hospital about 10:30 pm and was in labor til 12:48 Saturday afternoon! We were so excited to finally have him here!!!! Tucker Clay Holling! He was 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 1/2 inches long! Now we are trying to figure out a routine and find as much time to sleep as possible!

Just an Update...

It has been a while since my last post so I thought I'd give you guys a little update on what is going on in our life. We are now living in Statesville, looking for a place to live because Matthew got a job in Mooresville. He is working for Childforms, where he gets to design playgrounds all over the U.S. I think it is such an awesome job, and he really seems to be enjoying it. I'm quickly starting to get a belly, from the growing baby. I am now 27 weeks getting ready to reach my 3rd trimester. Sleeping has become a little more difficult, but everyone keeps telling me that it is preparing me for when the baby is here. I have one more ultrasound on Sept. 3rd, which I excited to see little baby Tucker again. Sets my mind at ease to actually see him. The baby has been kicking and moving like crazy and Matthew loves to feel him kick. We are so excited for him to get here and to get things ready for him.

Breaking News: I'm Pregnant :)

It is official. Matthew and I are expecting our first child. I am 20 weeks along and not showing a whole lot. Most people can't believe that I'm pregnant. We had the "big" ultrasound Tuesday (7/7/09) and found out that we are having a little boy. The approximate due date is November 24, 2009. And for those of you that know about what happened to my sister Rachel, we are a hundred percent sure it is a boy (see pic below). We are excited about the days that lay ahead of us. We have decided to name him Tucker Rylan Holling. Tucker is Matthew's Grandma's maiden name and Rylan we just like haha. Tucker is definitely already extremely active. During the ultrasound he moved so much. It was awesome to see his heart beating. That is my favorite part and makes it all so real for me. He also stuck his tongue out at us, gave us the thumbs up and kept putting his hands up like he was already ready to wrestle like Matthew and I play around. I think Tucker is going to fit in real well with us. Matthew got to feel him kick for the first time Wednesday night. He couldn't believe it and wouldn't remove his hand. It is amazing to see the joy and love already in his face for little Tucker. I know I kid Matthew about Tucker being wild and crazy like him when he was little, but honestly I hope he is just like Matthew, because one day Tucker will be able to make someone just as happy!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

I know my family will think this post is cheesy, but I really can't believe that Matthew and I have been married for a year already. We were bothing talking about how quickly it has gone and how it still feels like we just got married the other day. I know most people say the first year of marriage is the hardest, well if that is the hardest I'm REALLY looking forward to all the years to come! Matthew I love you and all the wonderful things you have done for me and our relationship. We truly are great friends and lovers! I can't wait to see what the years ahead will bring!
I love you!

It's finally a BOY!

Friday at 7:30 a.m. Rachel, had her second child. Throughout Rachel's pregnancy she was told that she was having a girl, but when the doctor saw the baby it was a BOY! We finally have a nephew in the Daino family. His name is Brayden Austin Speagle, 8 pounds 3 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He is definitely all boy and so adorable. In the two days that I have seen him I haven't even heard him cry. He is such a good baby. Makayla is starting to warm up to him, too. The first day, Makayla said that Brayden could not go home with her. We are all excited about Brayden. We all had to go exchange our baby gifts though for boy stuff instead of girl. It is fun to finally get to look at baby boy stuff. We are still trying to figure out how to spoil a boy, though. We have the girls down pat.

Welcome to the world BRAYDEN!

On another note. The other day I found two 4 leaf clovers, and to our surprise they were actually lucky. On that same day after I found the clovers, Matthew received two phone calls about job interviews! Boy, am I excited that we are finally having some hits in the job search! I really hope that something works out soon.

Moving to Statesville

Matthew and I have both graduated from Western Carolina University and are beginning the beautiful world of job hunting in this great economic time. In hopes of finding a job for Matthew we moved to Statesville, which would give us better access to the larger cities like Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Raleigh. I finished up work on Tuesday and the plan was to head out from Cherokee Wednesday morning about 10. Well, Matthew woke up with a bad stomach bug and was struggling. I finished up the rest of the light packing and got everything ready to go. Matthew, finally, made it out of the bed and outside to move the last few things that I couldn't. This probably wasn't such a good idea because he then got very sick. Afterwards, he said he felt better and was ready to head out. So we began our trip to Statesville with Matthew having to stop at his mom's work and I had to stop at the Dr. office to get some paper work. After we finished our errands we hit the highway. About 30 minutes into the drive Matthew calls me and says he isn't feeling well and needed to stop at a rest area, but that I should keep going. I didn't think much of it and continued my drive. It wasn't until an hour later that Matthew calls me and I found out that he was in the ER! So I freak out wondering what to do because I was about an 1hour and 30 minutes away from him. But anyways, he ended up having a reversed allergic reaction to some Imodium he took in the morning and causes his muscles to contract severely, increased his heart rate to 140 and not to mention his stomach ache. They gave him some nausea medicine and a ton of benedryl so legally he couldn't leave the hospital without someone to pick him up because he wasn't allowed to drive. So luckily, his Aunt Sue signed the release form and being a RN herself thought Matthew was well enough now to drive. So, drugged out on benedryl Matthew finished driving to Statesville for an hour and a half. I don't know how me managed to make it to the house but he did and for that I am grateful! Once he walked into the house he laid on the couch and he was out the rest of the day. What a crazy trip. Glad my husband is safe and sound now.

A little Wedding Bliss!!!!

We're MARRIED!

The Holling's

Est. 2008

Matthew and I were married June 28, 2008 in the Columbia, SC temple. It was an amazing experience and so many promises made that make it an even more joyous occasion. What more can someone ask for than to know that their marriage will last beyond death into eternity. It was a wonderful day filled with everyone we love and great memories. It was definitely a busy day though.. We were sealed at 10 in the morning, changed took pictures with family outside the temple and then quickly headed back to Statesville to get ready for the reception at 7. The reception was picture perfect. The food was amazing (thanks to the Wonderful Ms. Charlene Layne) and the decorations were exactly as I imagined (thanks to my friends and family). We appreciate every ones love and support that they have shown us!
